SoTel Systems SIP Trunking Service Qualified for Interoperability with Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 R2
March 31, 2010 – St. Louis, Missouri -SoTel Systems, LLC, a leading ITSP and SIP service provider, today announced its SoTel SIP trunking service was qualified for use with Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 R2. SoTel SIP Services are now available nation-wide to all authorized Office Communications Server 2007 R2 resellers and their customers.
SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) trunking is the de facto interconnection standard for VoIP calling applications. Unlike in traditional telephony, where bundles of physical wires were once delivered from the traditional Local Exchange Carrier service provider to a business, a SIP trunk allows a company to replace these traditional fixed PSTN lines with PSTN connectivity via a SIP trunking service provider on the Internet.
Toshiba and SoTel Systems Certify Interoperability of Strata CIX VoIP Systems and SoTel SIP Trunking

Longtime Telecommunications Companies Merge – SoTel Systems Launches as Tele/Systems and South Supply Join Forces
January 3, 2006 – Tele/Systems and South Supply have merged to form SoTel Systems. The new company will continue to function as a supply company for the telecom and data service industry, while expanding their presence as a supplier to the data service industry with the addition of VOIP and network products. Prior to this arrangement, both companies, which were owned by Kenneth Riney, acted as two separate companies. Riney will hold ownership of the new company and serve as its CEO.
