Norstar systems are easy to learn how to use. They are designed to be not only user-friendly, but also easily customizable. Each telephone set's buttons can be programmed for the most common functions that an individual might use.

We train you to use the basic functions of the system through a toll-free Q&A session after your Plug-'n-Talk system is up and running. Basic functions allow you to perform all routine call-processing functions such as:

  • Make and receive calls
  • Place callers on hold
  • Transfer callers to other extensions or into voice mail
  • Establish conference calls
  • Page other telephone sets
  • Establish intercom calls
  • Juggle between two or more callers (receptionist)
  • Access voice mail
  • Record personal greetings and set up voice mail options

The more advance features of the system can be learned through a complimentary training CD-ROM included with the system: the Norstar End-User Training CBT.

The CD is interactive and narrated, with various links to direct you how to perform the most advanced functions of the system. Staff members can easily learn how to use the Norstar system at their leisure, and can even print the step-by-step instructions!

In addition to our toll-free help line and training software, we have extensive technical documentation available 24/7 on our web site. You can easily learn how to do all of the common programming administrative tasks, such as naming a phone, changing the time & date, and resetting a voice mailbox.
