We custom build each Plug-'n-Talk system and then program it to customer specifications prior to shipping. Each system is built and shipped as shown in the picture above, and has only to be physically connected to the incoming lines from the telephone company, and the wires running through the walls to the phone jacks.

 

Plug the system in, turn it on, and you will have a fully functional communications solution already custom tailored to your individual needs. We then support the system through remote access programming to make any changes you wish until the system operates exactly the way you want it to, and we offer a toll-free number for technical support. We also back all new equipment that we sell with a 18-month warranty.

 

The Plug-'n-Talk systems are designed to be easily connected. However sometimes a customer may be a bit uncomfortable installing the system himself. We can help you to have this system installed very economically through referral to one of our Local Dealers. Their fees vary according to each circumstance/distance, but they will give firm quotes once an order with us is initiated.

 

By selling the system direct to you, our customer, we can pass along the cost savings associated with maintaining low overhead and eliminating the typical middleman markup.

 

What is the process for getting a Plug-'n-Talk Norstar telephone system?

After you have spent some time on the web site, contact us for a consultation in one of two ways:

We will advise you on the proper configuration of the system, and make sure it is the right system for you and your business.

Once an order with us is initiated, our technical support department will send you and email with a programming questionnaire. They will make an appointment with you to go over that questionnaire in detail, and they will spend as much time as you need to cover all aspects of the telephone system with you. You can make choices on line ringing patterns, telephone set names, voice mail greetings, hunt group functionality, and many others.

 

Concurrently with that, the system will be assembled by our production team. Each Plug-'n-Talk system is custom built. It is important that we know the space limitation in you equipment closet in order to build it to fit!

 

Using the questionnaire, the system will be programmed to your specifications. Then it will be shipped to you via UPS shipping service. If you choose to have one of our Local Dealers install the system, an Option Telecom technician will be on standby. After the technician has performed the install, we will dial into the system and check all the CO lines, phones, and voice mail. Only after we verify all components are functioning properly will we give the technician the OK to leave your site.

 

After the system is up and running, it is quite natural for a customer to have need of programming changes. We can dial into your system at any time during normal business hours and make those changes for you as part of our TeleCare support, included with the system and free for 90-days. Plenty of time to "tweak in" the system to suit your business!
